With the object selected go to Window > Attributes and click on the "Show Center" icon. Go to Window > Pathfinder and click on the "Unite" icon. Be sure to have Fill and Stroke checked and click OK. Select both objects and go to Object > Expand. Step 9ĭrag the copied object until the top left corner snap on the center of the guides. Go to Edit > Copy and then to Edit > Paste in Place. Place a Vetical and a Horizontal guide in the top right anchor point of the object as shown. With the object selected go to Object > Transform > Rotate. Step 5Ĭlick and drag the circular anchor points until the guideline turns red. With the Direct Selection Tool (A) select the top right and bottom left corners of the rectangle. Go to Window > Stroke and set the stroke Weight to 5pt. Set the Width to 20 px, the Height to 50 px and click OK. Select the Rectangle Tool (M), be sure to have the fill set to "none", the stroke to black and click once over the artboard. In this case, I will make mine at 300 x 200 px. Open Illustraor and make a new file at any size you want.
